You will be a qualified TIG Welder experienced at fabricating various sheet metal products. Speed and accuracy is essential for this role as is ability to read engineering drawings. You will be involved in the construction of new surface ships for the Royal Navy. You will have experience in Flux Cored (FCAW) and/or MIG/MAG (Solid Wire) welding and you will need to be previously coded for all positions on steel. However, should you only have experience in one of the above, a short course is available to enhance your skills in the other process. All tests are welded on 8mm plate, apart from the FCAW PC (Horizontal) which is on 15mm plate.
